Acting

Always active in the performing arts, Yolanda has appeared in school plays, gymnastics, choirs, dance and piano recitals and then went on to pursue modeling.

Her interest in acting led her to study improv at Second City then, preferring long-form improv, she studied and performed for several years at the Impatient Theatre Company.  She has performed alongside some of North America’s top improv players.

She has studied with Richard McKenna, Jeff Seymour, Tom Todoroff and currently Kevin McCormick at Equity Showcase theatre.  Adept at accents and dialects, Yolanda honed her American dialects with David Smukler.

Known in improv for dropping witty and intelligent dialogue, Yolanda ironically plays the ditz exceptionally well.  She quickly landed an agent and booked roles on shows such as Mob Stories II and Urban Legends as well as the female lead in a short film entitled “The Professional”.  Look for Yolanda in an upcoming theatre performance…more information to come, so stay posted!
